Lane Hagan
Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, Lane graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Biomedical Science. Lane worked in quality control and operations of a local antibody production lab until 2018. Lane and his wife, Kathryn, live in Mountain Brook and have 4 beautiful children, Libby, Drew, Grace, and Ann Curtis. If he’s not spending time with the kids, you can find Lane either at the beach or the golf course. Lane enjoys cheering for his two favorite teams, the Auburn Tigers and Atlanta Braves. The Hagans are members of the Church of the Highlands in Birmingham.
“It was our desire to create something meaningful and impactful from what happened to Libby. We have learned so much over the last ten years- one of the greatest lessons is that raising any child, and especially a special needs child, takes a village. We know first-hand the stress placed on families whose medical insurance will not cover everything that their child needs to thrive. We want to help. It was out of this desire that the concept for Libby’s Friends was born.”

Macy Ingram
Macy is a full-time mom and caregiver to her three sons: Jax (9), Hayden Mac (6), and Gray (4). Hayden was injured at birth due to malpractice and, as a result, is now diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, and Epilepsy.
The Ingram family was connected with the Hagan family shortly after Hayden’s injury. Macy made it her mission to help families facing the same struggles Hayden and Libby did in their early years. Before Hayden’s injury, Macy was a child abuse and neglect worker for the Department of Human Resources.
Macy was born in Fort Payne, AL, and received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Social Work at the University of West Alabama. It was there that she was a majorette, and her now husband, Brady, was on the football team. The two now live in Trussville, Alabama, with their children and are members of Crosspoint Church.
When they are not immersed in the medically complex day-to-day, they spend their time on Weiss Lake or in Disney World! Macy has served on our Associate Board for the last three years, most recently as President.
Macy has confidently taken on the role of Social Media Director since day one. Every post across our social media platforms comes from her! Macy is an incredible asset to Libby’s Friends because she knows firsthand the challenges of caring for a loved one with a disability.
