Creating Meaningful Impact for Families Living with a Disability in Alabama

At Libby’s Friends, impact is measured in more than numbers alone. It is seen in the communication device that helps a child express their needs, the therapy sessions that support growth and progress, and the adaptive equipment that brings greater comfort, mobility, and independence to everyday life. Every grant we award eases the financial burden of disability-related expenses so families can focus on caring for the people they love most.

For us, impact means meeting families with compassion, practical support, and a sense of urgency when critical needs arise. It means helping create more good days, easing stress in meaningful ways, and reminding families across Alabama that they do not have to carry this alone.

What More Good Days Look Like Across Alabama

Behind every number is a family that received support at the right time, for the right need, in a moment that truly mattered. This impact reflects what can happen when a thriving community of change makers comes together to help families carry less and move forward with more support.

  • 95% acceptance rate for completed applications
  • 89% of funds raised go directly to the families we serve
  • 703 grants awarded in 2025
  • 50 Alabama counties served in 2025
  • More than 1,590 grants awarded since our inception
  • $1,575,000 in support provided to families since 2020

These numbers reflect a mission that is active, responsive, and reaching families in meaningful ways. They also reflect the generosity of a community that continues to help create more good days across Alabama.
